We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join our team in CF23 7BW on a zero hour contract. This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer-focused environment and is looking for work on an as-needed basis.

As a Catering Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day catering operation, ensuring customers receive excellent service and high-quality food throughout the day.

What you'll be doing

Serving food and beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner

Assisting with food preparation and basic kitchen duties

Operating tills and handling customer transactions

Maintaining cleanliness in food service and dining areas

Supporting stock replenishment and storage procedures

Following food safety, allergen, and health & safety regulations

Assisting with setting up and closing down service areas

Working collaboratively with the wider catering team

About you

Previous experience in catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service is desirable but not essential

Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Reliable, flexible, and adaptable to changing business needs

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards

Food hygiene knowledge is beneficial but training will be provided
