Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Bridgend, CF35 6AP . This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy catering operation, supporting the delivery of quality meals while developing your skills within a supportive and rewarding environment.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work alongside a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to help deliver meals three times a day. You will support the smooth running of the kitchen operation, ensuring high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and compliance are maintained at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to deliver meals three times daily
Supervising and assisting enhanced inmates within the kitchen unit
Preparing basic quality food within a set pre-ordered menu
Ensuring the kitchen is clean, tidy, and maintained to required standards
Carrying out stock checks and ensuring stock is managed correctly
Completing all relevant paperwork and due diligence records
Supporting a positive team environment and handling conflict professionally when required
Following food safety, health and safety, and company procedures
Undertaking relevant training as required
Supporting the wider catering team to ensure excellent service delivery

Shift times between 7am and 6pm, leaving your evenings free

What We're Looking For
Previous supervisory experience
Relevant culinary qualification
Experience working in a large-scale kitchen environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Positive and flexible approach to work
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
Additional Requirements
Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years
