Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a Specialist Team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists providing wheelchair assessment and prescription, and postural management advice to children, young people and adults in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.This post will suit both Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist looking to enhance their skills in postural management in a community setting.
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential you are able to travel independently on a daily basis to and from the base, patient's homes and other venues around the geographical area, which may not be accessible by public transport.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to participate in the delivery of the countywide Wheelchair Service providing standard and specialist assessments and advice to clients including those who often present with complex needs. Assessment clinics are situated in Hayle, Truro and Liskeard with travel to place of residence required in some circumstances.To contribute to clinical governance and service development within the Wheelchair Service in partnership with professional specialists, the Clinical Lead and Wheelchair Service Team Lead.
