Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our team at New College & The Officers' Mess, The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, WD1 2FN . Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen operation. You will play a key role in preparing and delivering high-quality meals, maintaining exceptional food safety standards, and leading the team in the absence of the Head Chef. Key Responsibilities

Support the Head Chef with the daily running of kitchen operations

Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals to agreed standards

Assist with menu planning, food ordering, and stock management

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations

Supervise and support kitchen team members, providing guidance and training where required

Monitor food quality, portion control, and waste management

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment

Step into the Head Chef's role when required

What We're Looking For

Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a busy catering or hospitality environment

Strong culinary skills with a passion for producing high-quality food

Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene standards

Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards

Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or equivalent (desirable)

Employment is subject to satisfactory right to work checks

Full security vetting required

Enhanced DBS check required

Must have lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years

Must have the legal right to work in the UK without restrictions

Successful applicants must satisfy all security clearance requirements prior to employment commencement.
