Role description
Job summary
The post holder will provide specialist digital, data and infrastructure engineering expertise to support business intelligence, reporting, analytics and insight across the South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw CancerAlliance.
The post holder will develop, implement and maintain secure, reliable and scalable data solutions, data pipelines and supporting technical infrastructure that enable the effective delivery of cancer informationand intelligence services across the Cancer Alliance.
Main duties of the job
Working within agreed organisational strategies, technical frameworks, architecture standards and governance arrangements, the post holder will apply specialist knowledge of data engineering, cloud technologies, data integration and business intelligence platforms to support the delivery of technical solutions that meet operational, analytical and reporting requirements.
The post holder will translate business and information requirements into technical specifications and support the development of solutions that ensure cancer data from multiple sources is integrated, managed and made available for reporting, analysis and decision-making purposes.
The role requires specialist knowledge of data engineering, cloud platforms, data modelling, data integration, digital infrastructure and NHS information standards, acquired through degree-level study, equivalent specialist training and significant practical experience.
The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Cancer Alliance, South Yorkshire ICB, NHS provider organisations and partner agencies to support the ongoing development of moderndata and analytics capabilities and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
The post holder will exercise professional judgement in resolving complex technical issues, adapting established approaches where appropriate and working within agreed policies, procedures and technical standards.
