Job summary
Are you a compassionate team player with a passion for supporting clinical teams and delivering exceptional service? We are looking for a highly organised Medical Secretary to join our Children & Young Peoples support services team to provide vital administrative support to consultant psychiatrists, junior doctors, and healthcare staff, as well as supervise/manage a small team of junior administrative staff.
The role is office-based, and you will work out of Whitestone Clinic, Nuneaton, although some travel may be required across a variety of sites within Coventry and Warwickshire.
The ability to travel independently between the sites is a requirement of the role. Travel between sites during the working day will be reimbursed via e-expenses.

As a key first point of contact, you will help ensure smooth day-to-day work loads, manage clinics and correspondence, and coordinate a wide range of tasks alongside your administrative team.
Working collaboratively with the Senior Admin Lead and wider administrative team, you'll offer management support to junior staff, uphold confidentiality, and support the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main duties of the job
- Support and manage a small team of Administrative staff
- Deliver a professional and confidential secretarial service to medical staff
- Manage diaries, clinic bookings, and patient follow-up appointments
- Assist the Senior Admin Lead in coordinating work to support staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Liaise with patients, service users, and stakeholders in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Support the coordination of medical rotas and meetings
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost integrity and discretion
