Job summary

Interviews will take place at a face-to-face selection event at Carew House on Friday 23 October 2026. Candidates must be available to attend either a morning or afternoon session, with timings to be confirmed.

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are pleased to offer opportunities for experienced Healthcare Assistants for Harold White Ward, St Austell Hospital .

Harold White Ward has 22 beds. These provide hospital care for elderly patients and people who need rehabilitation after surgery or an illness. We are a friendly, supportive team who aim to provide the best individualised care needed to support patients.

Full time of 37.h hrs being a permanent contract undertaking a range of night duties 19:30- 08:00 hrs and long days 07:30 - 20:00 hrs on a rotational basis in order to support 24 hour nursing care, 7 days per week. This will include weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist in the delivery of clinical care, planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses

    o To carry out care / other duties under indirect supervision of a Registered Nurseand/or Senior Health Care Assistant

    o Support care on a day-to-day basis for all patients in the clinical area in a mannersensitive to the individual clients needs and wishes, acknowledging their rights andbeliefs at all times

    o Contribute to resource management within the clinical area
