We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to join our team at Dreghorn Barracks, Edinburgh, EH13 9QW . This is a fantastic opportunity for a flexible and enthusiastic individual looking for a part-time role within a busy military catering and hospitality environment.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with food preparation and service

Delivering excellent customer service to customers and guests

Operating tills and handling customer transactions

Replenishing service areas and food counters

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout kitchen and dining areas

Supporting kitchen porter duties as required

Following food safety, allergen, and health & safety procedures at all times

Supporting the wider team with the smooth day-to-day operation of the service

About you

Previous catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Reliable and professional approach to work

Flexible and adaptable to business needs

Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards

Important Requirements

Successful candidates will be required to obtain BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance prior to commencing employment.
