Job summary
The Digital Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of two key technical programmes and projects, the implementation of a new unified data model across all SCFT systems and the SCFT Wayfinder integration project to support the implementation of the NHS App, ensuring that they are delivered on time, to budget and to an agreed quality that meet business needs.
Qualified with AgilePM and preferably experienced with using Prince2 methodology, the applicant will be able to evidence a wealth of project management experience and be able to join the team hitting the ground running. The role requires effective engagement with staff at all levels to identify and facilitate changes required such as role and business process redesign.
Main duties of the job
a) Assess the strategic intention, expected outcomes and critical success factors of the data model and Wayfinder projects.
b) Identify, track and ensure the project benefits are realised. Implement the relevant approach, tools and processes to ensure benefits are suitability, monitored, reported and realised.
c) Devise detailed programme and project plans, identifying key timescales, milestones and resources. Set up and manage individual workstreams that will contribute to the overall success of programmes and projects. Analyse dependences across workstreams and ensure these are addressed within individual project plans.
d) Undertake supervision and appraisals. Ensure all staff have personal development plans, opportunities for personal development and are encouraged to develop their careers in a way that is appropriate to their skills and aptitudes.
e) Take prompt and proportionate action in cases where performance, conductor attendance fall below acceptable standards. The postholder has a duty of care to ensure that employees are appropriately supported in relation health and other personal factors that may contribute to problems.
f) The postholder has authority to hear stage 1 grievances, investigate disciplinary issues and present a management case to a disciplinary panel.
g) Develop an effective team by ensuring job roles and work plans are clearly described and understood by all team members.
