Business Director

Position Overview

The Business Director will be responsible for developing and executing initiatives that enhance and expand direct sales efforts. This role requires an experienced sales professional with a strong understanding of strategic alliance dynamics, business development, direct selling techniques and relationship management on both the transactional and strategic level.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Development:

Formulate and lead the strategic roadmap for partner alliances and direct selling efforts that aligns with the Consulting business’s strategy.

Identify, evaluate, and prioritise high-impact partnership opportunities that drive market share growth and revenue generation.

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and direct clients, ensuring alignment on goals and objectives.

Act as the primary point of contact for partner communications, client engagement, and direct sales efforts.

Revenue Contribution:

Deliver an agreed target, set by the Managing Director for monthly, quarterly, and overall annual sales.

Market Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape affecting both partner strategies and direct selling initiatives.

Analyse performance metrics for both partnerships and direct sales, providing insights to optimise collaboration and sales efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work with a variety of internal teams to ensure that partnership initiatives and direct selling strategies are effectively integrated into the business.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience owning C-level relationships within strategic alliance partners (e.g. Global Partner Director, VP Alliances, Regional CEO-counterparts)

Experience across multi-region or multi-market operations

Experience of operating at Director level in an equivalent consulting or sales organisation

Experience of managing a portfolio of ISV and/or system integration partners and meeting or exceeding sales targets

Professional experience of structuring high-value alliances (i.e. with Microsoft)

Expertise with commercial & contract negotiation

Deep comfort with Microsoft and the associated enterprise offerings
