Main duties of the job
The Waking Night Support Worker role at Enable involves providing overnight care to a young adult with complex needs in Sturminster Newton. The role is exclusively for female applicants as per the Equality Act 2010 requirements. The responsibilities include 1:1 support, ensuring the individual's safety and independence both at home and in the community, and maintaining well-being through routine and consistent care. The working hours range from 3pm-10pm for day shifts and 10pm-9:30am for waking night shifts. Flexibility in shift timings is possible. The support worker will perform comprehensive personal care, food preparation, and follow detailed care plans. Although experience with learning disabilities is beneficial, it is not mandatory because comprehensive training is provided.

What we need from you:
A calm, patient, and observant approach
A reassuring presence who can build trust over time
Ability to follow clear routines and care plans in detail
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential full training provided
Willingness to work in partnership with family and colleagues to ensure consistency
For day shifts, a full clear driving license is desirable but not essential
What your role will include:
Supporting with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, dressing, and toileting
Preparing safe, nutritious meals in line with dietary needs
Support out in the community
