Vulnerability Research Summer Internship - 2027

A unique opportunity to launch your career in offensive security, developing your skills alongside some of the most experienced researchers in the industry.

The role:

Receive instructor-led (in person) and self-led (remote) training to develop core skills in reverse engineering and vulnerability research

Gain experience working alongside Interrupt Labs' researchers on real projects, allowing you to further develop your skills with their support and guidance

Examples of projects may include: reverse engineering complex malware samples, creating bespoke fuzzing implementations, finding vulnerabilities in open-source software

Programme runs between 5th July and 27th August 2027 (8 weeks)

The ideal candidate:

Passionate about vulnerability research with a basic understanding of this area

Interested in understanding the low-level programming of hardware and software

Experience reverse engineering against Android, iOS, Embedded or Hypervisor targets is desirable

Going into penultimate or final year of university (typically seen as the 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies, or the final year of a postgraduate degree)

Eligible to hold SC level UK Security Clearance ( National security vetting: clearance levels - GOV.UK )
