Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust are looking for two Strategic Procurement Managers to join our procurement team on a fixed term contract for up to 12 months.
These temporary positions have been created to provide additional short-term capacity within the Strategic Procurement team, helping us to address a backlog of procurement activities, manage an increasing workload pipeline, and ensure the timely delivery of key projects and organisational priorities.
The role is essential for maintaining procurement compliance, governance, and service continuity during this period of temporary service pressure. While the appointment aims to deliver targeted support by reducing backlogs and progressing priority projects, opportunities for extension are not anticipated.
The posts will provide advice and guidance on procurement related matters in specific category areas and support the development of category and procurement strategies.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Procurement team, you will work closely with the Senior Strategic Procurement Managers to drive impactful cost and efficiency savings across Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.
In this dynamic role, you will deliver a high-quality strategic procurement service, leading and supporting a range of procurement projects that help the Trust achieve sustainable savings, maximise value for money, and ensure contract compliance.
You will analyse spending patterns across designated categories, using data-driven insights to identify opportunities and support the development of innovative category and procurement strategies. Your work will directly contribute to improving services, delivering efficiencies, and ensuring the best possible use of NHS resources.
