Role description

Strategic Finance Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a commercially minded and analytically strong Strategic Finance Manager to join our Group Finance team in London.

In this role, you will support finance transformation and strategic projects across the Group, helping to build business cases, track programme benefits, and support effective governance and reporting.

Working closely with Group Finance, country management and cross-functional teams, you will support the delivery of change initiatives, contribute to performance improvement, and help support the rollout of automation and AI initiatives across finance.

This role would suit someone with experience in Big 4 or consulting who is looking to apply that skill set in a fast-paced, growing technology business.

Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between £60,000 and £70,000 a year , depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Support finance transformation projects across the Group, helping to keep programmes on track and aligned with strategic objectives.

Maintain programme plans and coordinate timelines, dependencies, and progress across multiple projects.

Track and report on project performance , including gap-closing initiatives, KPIs, budgets, and variances.

Support programme governance , including maintaining RAID logs, action trackers, decision logs, and other core PMO documentation.

Prepare materials for steering meetings , such as agendas, papers, updates, and decision logs.

Work closely with stakeholders across Group Finance, country management, and functions such as IT, HR, and operations to gather updates and resolve issues.

Build and review business cases for transformation projects and Group investment decisions, including financial analysis, sensitivities, and risks.

Track benefits and return on investment , including supporting post-implementation reviews and keeping benefits trackers up to date.

Lead ad hoc finance and strategic projects from initial scoping through to recommendation for senior stakeholders.

Support the rollout of AI and automation initiatives across Group and country finance teams.

Produce regular management reporting and presentations , providing clear financial and project insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

For this role, the right candidate will have:

A background in Big 4, consulting, or a similar strategy, transformation, or project-based environment .

Strong analytical and financial skills , including financial modelling, business case development, and a solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting.

Experience supporting transformation, change, or PMO-style programmes , with the ability to manage workstreams, track progress, and keep multiple priorities moving.

Effective communication skills; can work effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams , while remaining hands-on and delivery focused.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with tools such as Power BI, MS Project, or Jira would be advantageous.
