Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Specialist Pharmacist - Technical Services.
This post offers the opportunity to pursue a career in both Clinical services and Technical aseptic services in our state of the art Pharmacy Technical Services Unit.
The Technical services unit holds an MHRA Manufacturing Specials (MS) license and offers a comprehensive production service to patients in the hospital and provides services to external customers and other NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job
You would work closely with the Lead Pharmacist of technical services, Chief Technician and the Associate Head of Technical Services for the management and strategic development of the service. You would take responsibility for Pharmacist based roles, training, IT systems and professional aspects of the service, including supervision of rotational pharmacists and pre-registration Pharmacists.
You should be a team player with the ability to introduce change and have a keen interest in training others. You should have drive to actively participate in service evolution. Your personal commitment to training and development will be supported by our dedicated team of specialist Pharmacist and Technicians. Previous experience in Radiopharmacy is desirable but not essential.
