Role description

Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Staff Nurse to join Springwood Ward, Woodview. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mental health nurse to develop leadership experience while supporting high-quality, recovery-focused care in an acute inpatient setting.

You will play a key role in clinical leadership on the ward, supporting junior staff, coordinating shifts, and ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care for service users experiencing acute mental health needs.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide clinical leadership and act as a role model for best practice
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in an acute mental health setting
  • Support and supervise junior nursing staff and students
  • Coordinate shifts and contribute to effective ward management
  • Undertake risk assessments and care planning
  • Completing 5 P formulations to formulate a plan of care and discharge plan
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
  • Promote safeguarding, safety, and recovery-focused practice
