Main duties of the job
The role of a Senior Care Assistant at Agincare involves harnessing one's compassion and experience to foster a home environment at Gainsborough Care Home where residents not only feel comfortable but also valued and genuinely cared for. The position requires delivering and leading high-quality, person-centred care. There's an emphasis on supporting residents with personal care in a manner that upholds their dignity and independence, as well as safely and accurately administering medication. Senior Care Assistants are also expected to contribute to and review care plans regularly. Leading activities and outings, fostering meaningful resident engagement, and guiding team members are vital facets of this role. Over time, they might be called upon to step up and take additional responsibilities, making it crucial for candidates to showcase leadership qualities alongside being team players. The position spans 36 hours per week, including alternate weekends, and is situated in Swanage, Dorset. A critical requirement is a minimum of 12 months' right to work in the UK.
