Role description

We’re Hiring: Security Officer

📍 Location: Slough, SL1 4UE

💰 Pay: £14.50 per hour

📅 Hours: 42, 4 on 4 off

⏰ Shift Pattern:

4 shifts on: 07:00 - 19:00 , followed by 4 days off

4 shifts on: 08:00 - 20:00 , followed by 4 days off

Grade: 3.1. Site Based

As a Security Officer , you will provide excellent customer service while protecting people, property, and assets. The Security Officer will support a professional and secure environment, helping organisations deliver efficient services and maintain smooth operations. The Security Officer must hold a valid SIA licence and be flexible to work a range of shifts.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.

• Conducting regular security patrols and site inspections.

• Monitoring and protecting people, property, and assets.

• Controlling access, responding to alarms, and operating CCTV systems.

• Supporting emergency procedures, including evacuations and searches.

• Investigating incidents and reporting security or safety concerns promptly.

• Completing security checks, incident reports, and site records accurately.

• Carrying out locking/unlocking duties and supporting health and safety procedures.

• Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

• Ensuring compliance with site procedures, regulations, and security standards.

What we’re looking for:

A valid SIA Licence (or willingness to obtain one).

The right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable employment history.

No unspent criminal convictions.

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Committed to the values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Desirable:

Previous experience as a Security Officer.

A full UK driving licence and access to own transport.

A valid First Aid qualification.
