Role description

We’re Hiring: Security Officer

📍 Location: Bristol

💰 Pay: £14.15 per hour

📅 Hours: 07:00 - 19:00, Saturday & Sunday Days (24 hours per week)

As a Security Officer , you will help protect employees, visitors, property, and assets within a prestigious corporate office in Central Bristol. The Security Officer will deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment, always demonstrating Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness . This is an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to support a business shaping the future of AI. A valid SIA licence is required before commencing operational shifts.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.

Conducting regular safety and security patrols.

Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.

Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches.

Keeping vigilant, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.

Accurately maintaining records of all activity and handovers.

Provide a visible security presence across the site

Conduct regular foot patrols

Monitor CCTV systems and security alarms

Manage access control and visitor sign-in procedures

Respond to incidents and emergencies professionally

Complete accurate incident and shift reports

Assist employees, contractors, and visitors

Ensure all health, safety, and security procedures are followed at all times

Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence

Previous corporate security experience preferred

Professional appearance and attitude

Strong attention to detail and observational skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.

The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.

Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
