We’re Hiring: Security Officer
📍 Location: Newport, NP10 8BE
💰 Pay: £17.07 per hour
📅 Hours: 42 hours per week, flexible shifts, working 6am-6pm days and 6pm-6am nights
📄 Contract: Fixed-term contract until the end of February 2027.

Working at a growing construction and infrastructure site, the Security Officer will provide a professional security service in line with Assignment Instructions and operational requirements, helping to protect employees, visitors, property, and other assets. Supporting a business that is investing in regional growth and development, the Security Officer will deliver exceptional customer service while upholding Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness, contributing to a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.

You must have been continuously resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
You must be eligible to obtain BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) and SC (Security Check) Clearance.
You must hold a valid UK passport.
You must hold a valid SIA Licence.

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
As a Security Officer, you'll play a vital role in helping to keep people, property, and information safe. Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
Monitoring access control, CCTV, and security systems.
Conducting regular security, safety, and site patrols.
Responding to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations.
Supporting emergency procedures, including evacuations and searches.
Ensuring compliance with site policies, regulations, and security procedures.
Remaining vigilant, reporting incidents, and helping to prevent disruption.
Completing accurate reports, records, and handovers.
Delivering exceptional customer service at all times.

Valid SIA Licence.
British nationality required due to site security clearance requirements
Have been continuously resident in the UK for the last 5 years.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Hold a valid UK passport.

Willing to undergo security screening and background checks.
