Job summary
The RTT Technical Validator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and integrity of Referral-to-Treatment (RTT) pathway data across the Trust. The post holder conducts systematic validation of waiting lists, outpatient activity, diagnostic activity and admitted and non-admitted pathways, ensuring compliance with national RTT guidance and local Access Policies through consistent, high-quality data management and use of electronic information systems.
Main duties of the job
The first phase of any waiting list validation is a technical validation process, focused on identifying data inaccuracies (such as duplicate validation data entries or records of patients already on an active treatment pathway). The administrative team then remove the patient, if appropriate, from the pathway following an administrative validation review (the next step in the process). This ensures the waiting list is accurate and up to date with a focus on data quality.
