We are currently recruiting for a friendly and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team at Ouston, Harlow Hill . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexible work within a busy retail environment, where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth running of the retail operation.

What you'll be doing

Serving customers and providing a friendly and professional service

Processing payments accurately through the till system

Keeping shelves stocked and displays looking great

Receiving deliveries and managing stock levels

Monitoring stock availability and reporting shortages where required

Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy retail environment

Following food hygiene and health & safety standards at all times

Supporting the opening and closing of the retail unit

Assisting with merchandising and promotional displays

Working as part of a team to deliver an excellent customer experience

What we're looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not essential

Full training will be provided

Comfortable working as part of a team and occasionally on your own

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Positive and reliable approach to work

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment

Flexible and willing to learn new skills

Additional Requirements

Must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years

Must have the legal right to work in the UK

Must be able to successfully pass full security vetting

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DBS check
