We’re Hiring: Relief Security Officer
📍 Location: Bristol, BS32 4QH
💰 Pay: £14.00 per hour
📅 Hours: Various shifts including days, nights, and weekends (average 36 hours per week)

As a Relief Security Officer , you will provide security services across a variety of sites within a designated geographical area as required. The Relief Security Officer will be responsible for protecting employees, property, and assets in line with Assignment Instructions and site-specific customer requirements, while delivering exceptional customer service. The Relief Security Officer will consistently demonstrate Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness and must hold a valid SIA licence before commencing operational duties.
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
Conducting regular safety and security patrols.
Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches.
Keeping vigilant, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.
Accurately maintaining records of all activity and handovers.
Provide a visible security presence across the site
Conduct regular foot patrols
Monitor CCTV systems and security alarms
Manage access control and visitor sign-in procedures
Respond to incidents and emergencies professionally
Complete accurate incident and shift reports
Assist employees, contractors, and visitors
Ensure all health, safety, and security procedures are followed at all times

What We're Looking For:
Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
Previous corporate security experience preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS and Security Check (SC) clearance
Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Professional appearance and attitude
Strong attention to detail and observational skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
