Location: Catterick, DL9 3AD

Hours: 20 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, working a mixture of shifts between 7:00am and 7:00pm (7:00am-11:00am, 11:00am-3:00pm, and 3:00pm-7:00pm)

Contract: Part Time

Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team in Catterick. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and communication skills who enjoys working with people and providing first-class support within a busy environment.

What you'll be doing

Acting as the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and stakeholders

Becoming fully competent in bespoke military software applications

Managing telephone calls, emails, and face-to-face enquiries professionally

Drafting emails and correspondence for both internal and external recipients

Monitoring and maintaining shared electronic mailboxes

Responding to routine queries and escalating more complex matters to line management when required

Providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office

Working independently and as part of a team to achieve operational objectives

Maintaining accurate records and documentation

Delivering excellent customer service at all times

What we're looking for

Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional attitude

Previous administration experience and a sound understanding of office processes

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively

Previous experience working within a military administrative environment is desirable but not essential

Full UK driving licence preferred

Additional Requirements

Must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years

Must have the legal right to work in the UK

Must be able to successfully pass security vetting

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DBS check
