About Kaluza

Kaluza https://www.kaluza.com/ is the Energy Intelligence Platform, turning energy complexity into seamless coordination. We help energy companies overcome today’s challenges while accelerating the shift to a clean, electrified future.

Our platform orchestrates millions of real-time decisions across homes, devices, markets and grids. By combining predictive algorithms with human-centred design, Kaluza makes clean energy dependable, affordable and adaptive to everyday life.

With teams across Europe, Asia and Australia, and a joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation in Japan, we power leading companies including OVO, AGL and ENGIE, as well as innovators like Volvo and Volkswagen.

What you’ll do

- Lead the localisation efforts for our products and pricing capabilities, ensuring they meet the specific commercial, regulatory, market, and cultural requirements of retailers in Europe.  This will include European localisations such as indexation and unbundled energy products as well as broader market promotions and discounts.

- Deep dive into European energy market structures and regulations for designated countries, translating complex needs into detailed product specifications.  Understand the broader context of piercing and selling products in Europe and the required tooling, workflows and models to accelerate our retailers

- Collaborate intensely with clients and in-country experts to understand their unique needs and requirements. You will be the first point of contact with the client for all domain specific needs.

- Coordinate cross domain discovery and delivery for features that support key journeys, aligning requirements where needed (eg. billing, quoting and energy insights).

- Define and manage detailed product requirements for features related to country-specific needs to support energy products and pricing.

- Contribute to the Global Energy Commerce roadmap, when new acceleration opportunities are identified.

- Work closely with engineering, UX, and QA teams to ensure the successful implementation and testing of localised billing functionalities.

- Act as the go-to expert for global teams on specific European market nuances related to energy products and pricing and related customer journeys.

(Note: Travel to client sites e.g., Brussels, is expected at roughly 1–3 trips a month initially, tapering to 1–2 times a quarter.)

What you’ll bring

Ideally, you’ll have:

- Proven experience as a Product Manager with a strong track record of successfully localising complex software products for international markets.

- Able to establish and maintain great relationships with B2B clients, throughout the entire product lifecycle.

- Solid understanding of the end-to-end energy lifecycle within a European context, with a particular focus on retailer commercial operations.

- Direct experience with specific European energy markets, understanding their unique regulatory frameworks and requirements

- Exceptional ability to translate abstract regulatory text or client requirements into clear, actionable requirements for development teams.

- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, legal, operations, client success) to deliver localised solutions.

- Experience working alongside multiple services/domains to deliver complex journeys.

- Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and market complexities to various stakeholders, including clients.

What will set you apart

- Deep, hands-on experience with the French or Belgian energy retail markets, particularly concerning their energy products and pricing specificities.

- Proficiency in a second European language relevant to key target markets (e.g., French).

- Experience with large-scale data migration and integration projects involving legacy billing systems.

- A background in energy commercial operations or regulatory affairs within a European energy retailer.

Where you'll work

We offer flexible working, with an expectation of 3 days a week in the office. This gives us the best of both: real time together to collaborate and build relationships, with the flexibility to work in the way that suits you best the rest of the week.
