Role description
Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Principal Audiologist to Lead the Adult Hearing Rehabilitation and Therapy Services at Guy's Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder works within the Audiology Department and within the sub-modality of Adult Rehabilitation within the Adult Audiology Centre. The Adult Audiology Centre provides a comprehensive auditory rehabilitation service to patients above 16 years of ages and supports St Thomas' Hearing Implant Centre. The Adult Rehabilitation service has purpose-built and fully-equipped facilities delivering a full range of air and bone conduction hearing instruments.
The main purpose of this role is to be a clinical expert and audiology lead for Adult Rehabilitation and Therapy services. To lead in the delivery of a patient centered and evidence based service that provides a high standard of care to patients and their families / carers. To ensure the service meets and exceeds the requirements of the Any Qualified Provider specification and obtains and maintains UKAS IQIPS accreditation. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the service to include line management of staff and the promotion of the service at local, regional, national and international meetings and conferences. The post holder will also work in a team of senior staff and together with the Head of Audiology will ensure senior management support is provided across all areas of Audiology.
