Role description

Job summary

Due to maternity leave we are looking for an experienced paramedic to cover from October 26 for approx 1 year. As an integral member of the practice team, you will work alongside GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paramedic seeking a role outside of emergency response, in a structured and supportive primary care environment.

Main duties of the job

  • Conducting acute and urgent patient assessments within the surgery
  • Managing minor illnesses and injuries
  • Supporting long-term condition management where appropriate
  • Performing home visits
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient care
  • Supporting health promotion and preventative care initiatives

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC registration as a Paramedic
  • Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
  • Work Independently
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Willingness to work in a primary care setting and adapt to the
  • needs of the surgery.
  • Full clean driving license

Desirable

  • Experience in primary care or urgent care settings
  • Independent prescribing qualification (or working towards)
  • BLS Instructor
