We are looking for an experienced Occupational or
Physiotherapist to join our expanding Therapy Team. We currently provide
specialist palliative input to patients in their own homes, in our Community
Care Unit (outpatient) locations, and our inpatient beds at Beccles Hospital.
You will be part of a larger multi-disciplinary Specialist Palliative Team,
comprising Consultants, Specialty Doctors, Clinical Nurse Specialists,
Registered Nurses and Counsellors. We work very closely with our ECCH partners,
and so also have the support of a larger network of Therapists working within
the community.
St
Elizabeth Hospice is based in Ipswich and has supported patients and families
within the Mid-East Suffolk region for over 30 years. The Hospice extended its
reach into the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area in 2019. The Norfolk and Waveney
Integrated Care Board awarded the Community Care contract to East Coast
Community Healthcare (ECCH). The contract includes a Specialist Palliative Care
service which is delivered in partnership with St Elizabeth Hospice. Our most recent Care Quality Commission
report rated the hospice as Outstanding.
With
the construction of our new hospice in Gorleston due to commence shortly, this
is an exciting time to join St Elizabeth Hospice. The new facility will provide
both inpatient and outpatient services, representing a significant investment
in specialist palliative and end of life care across Great Yarmouth and
Waveney. As we continue to expand and develop our services, we are seeking
passionate and innovative professionals to join our Specialist Palliative Care
Therapy Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the delivery
of holistic care and palliative rehabilitation for people living with
progressive and life-limiting illness, helping patients maximise independence,
achieve what matters most to them, and enhance their quality of life. If you
are looking to be part of a forward-thinking organisation at a time of growth
and transformation, this is a chance to make a genuine and lasting difference
to people's lives.
If you would like an
opportunity to find out some more about working at the hospice and how it can
fit your own career aspirations, we recommend an informal visit/discussion
prior to you completing your application

young people that we work with and has a zero-tolerance approach to abuse,
