Job summary

We are looking to recruit aPatient Pathway Coordinator to join our Patient Administration Team, supporting the delivery of safe, timely, and efficient elective care pathways.

The Patient Pathway Coordinator is responsible for managing and tracking patient pathways to ensure timely progression through care in line with Referral to Treatment (RTT) standards and national targets. The role supports the delivery of a safe, efficient, and patient-focused service across specialties.

You will work closely with Service Managers, Clinical Teams, and Operational Managers to support the effective management of patient pathways and ensure patients are treated within national waiting time standards. The role requires flexibility, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, contributing to the delivery of a responsive and patient-focused service.

Main duties of the job

Key requirements include:

Strong working knowledge of RTT rules, admitted pathways, and Patient Tracking Lists (PTL)
Experience of bookings admitted and NON Admitted
Experience of systems, ERS , Cerner , PTL Validation Tool
Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively, including inboxes and competing tasks
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clinicians and services
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving pathway risks and potential breaches
