Job summary
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a Medical Staffing Co-ordinator Support / Administrator to join the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Directorate and play a key role in supporting our medical workforce.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy and dynamic directorate, providing administrative and operational support to ensure safe and effective medical staffing across maternity and gynaecology services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the co-ordination of medical staffing activities for consultants, specialty doctors, trainees and locum doctors across the Directorate. Working closely with clinical leaders, medical staffing colleagues and operational managers, the successful candidate will help ensure that rotas are maintained, vacancies are filled and staffing information is accurate and up to date.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and a professional approach when dealing with a wide range of staff groups.
