Role description

Welcome to Kanadevia Inova, a global innovation leader in the waste infrastructure space, where we believe in creating a sustainable future through technology and innovation.

Transforming Waste into Value

At Kanadevia Inova, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of waste-to-X technology. We are not just waste managers; we are creators of value from what communities discard. Your role at Kanadevia Inova directly contributes to turning something once considered useless - waste - into something invaluable: energy, heat, hydrogen, fertilizer, and beyond.

Kanadevia Inova is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental activities across our UK & Ireland operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director for Systems & Service Solutions UK & Ireland and working closely with the global HSE team, you will drive HSE compliance, culture, training, auditing, and continuous improvement across site and office-based activities. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring regular site engagement with field service and construction teams, ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained while supporting operational excellence in a challenging industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and promote HSE excellence across all UK & Ireland construction, service, maintenance, and office activities.

Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE plans, procedures, risk assessments, and compliance programs in line with corporate and legal requirements.

Conduct site audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.

Deliver HSE training, emergency preparedness exercises, safety communications, and support managers and employees on occupational health and safety matters.

Act as the key HSE focal point for internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies, while providing regular reporting, performance analysis, and improvement recommendations.

This posting reflects the main responsibilities of the position and is not exhaustive. Additional duties and expectations may be discussed during the recruitment process.

Degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification, with recognised Occupational Health & Safety certification.

Minimum 5 years' HSE leadership experience within construction, industrial service, maintenance, energy, or large-scale project environments.

Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and standards including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, SCC, and relevant UK HSE regulations.

Excellent communication, leadership, training, and stakeholder management skills, with a practical and solution-focused approach.

Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 60%) across the UK and Europe; auditing qualifications and investigation experience are advantageous.

At Kanadevia Inova, you'll be part of a global business that is transforming waste into valuable resources and helping to build a more sustainable future. In return, we offer a competitive rewards package, opportunities for professional growth, international career development, and the chance to work alongside industry-leading experts on complex and impactful projects.

What we offer:

Competitive salary, annual bonus and pension scheme

Private medical insurance and life assurance

Generous holiday allowance

Learning and development opportunities to support your career growth

A collaborative, safety-first culture within a global and innovative organisation
