Salary: £20823.99 per annum (£26028.99 FTE)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper/Domestic to work in a dynamic environment providing high quality domestic services within the Tamarind Centre which is an 89 bedded medium secure mental health hospital in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham.
Ideally you will have experience of providing domestic and housekeeping services within an NHS environment and sound understanding of infection prevention and control, COSHH, and current BICS registration

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all the Multi disciplinary Teams, Carers, Hotel Service Staff and General Public.To provide a friendly clean and comfortable and safe environment for patients and staff, ensuring a positive service user experience that reflects the values of Summerhill Supplies Limited (SSL) and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT)
To work as a member of the Hotel Services/Ward team by contributing to the provision of a comfortable and effective stay for patients.To be responsible for over seeing that the ward is clean and tidy, that patient's food is delivered correctly, that repairs, maintenance, linen services and consumables are available to contribute to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.
Responsible for providing high standards of cleanliness to a designated area/service under the supervision of the domestic supervisor, including the safe use of mechanical and electrical equipment following appropriate training.
