Job summary

Are you are a motivated person who has experiences to bring to Outpatients?

Do you have a pro-active, forward thinking attitude towards providing an outstanding service for our patients?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a healthcare assistant to join our outpatient team. The outpatient department is based across a number of general and specialty clinics. The post holder will develop their skills to support the team to provide an efficient service that delivers first class service to our patients and staff.

Band 3 salary will be dependent on knowledge, skills and experience.

Applicants who do not meet the full criteria for appointment at Band 3 may be appointed at Band 2 and supported through a structured development programme including completion of required competencies and qualifications with progression to Band 3 subject to evidence of competence and service need.

Main duties of the job

You must have basic literacy and numeracy skills and want to develop your knowledge and skills.

You will be a motivated team player and be committed to your own professional development. There is a requirement for you to be flexible to meet the needs of the clinics. In return we will support you to develop in the role.

Working alongside the outpatient team your role would be to support the team in setting and maintaining person centered high quality care and ensuring that patient safety and the patient experience are paramount.

oCompletion of short courses to undertake patient and clinical care duties, completion of a competency-based workbook or equivalent relevant experience to vocational qualification level 3
