Job summary

As our Head of Nursing, Children and Young People, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our services, leading with compassion, integrity and a relentless focus on quality.
Working closely with the Director of Nursing, Clinical Directors and General Managers, you will provide visible and inspiring leadership across children's services, creating an environment where staff feel valued, empowered and supported to deliver the best possible care.

Main duties of the job
- Provide strategic, professional and operational nursing leadership across Children and Young People's services.
- Lead and support nursing teams to deliver safe, compassionate and high-quality care for children, young people and their families.
- Foster a culture where colleagues feel empowered, developed and able to thrive.
- Drive improvements in quality, safety, governance and patient experience, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Work in partnership with senior clinical and operational leaders to shape and develop services that meet the changing needs of our communities.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, staff deployment and professional development across nursing teams.
- Champion research, innovation and evidence-based practice to improve outcomes for patients and families.
- Act as a trusted source of expert advice on children's nursing and professional practice.
- Contribute as a senior leader to the delivery of West London Children's Healthcare and Trust-wide priorities.
