Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Head Chef to join our team in Pirbright, GU24 0DT . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate culinary professional to work alongside the Catering Manager, leading a busy kitchen operation and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional food and service.

Job Description

As Head Chef, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of catering services, leading from the front and ensuring high standards are maintained across all aspects of the kitchen operation.

Key responsibilities include:

Running shifts and working closely alongside the Catering Manager

Leading and inspiring the kitchen team to deliver high-quality and innovative menus

Managing day-to-day kitchen operations and food production standards

Supporting budget management and ensuring resources are used effectively

Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations

Building strong relationships with clients and responding positively to customer feedback

Training and coaching team members on new procedures, equipment, and company policies

Driving continuous improvement across the kitchen operation

Supporting the development and progression of team members

Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation, and service standards

Previous experience working in large-scale contract catering

Experience leading and motivating kitchen teams

NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Culinary Skills (or equivalent)

Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Passion for food, customer service, and team development

Positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work

Must have resided in the UK for the past 3 years due to security vetting requirements

Must have the legal right to work in the UK

Must be able to pass the required security clearance checks
