The Gynaecology Unit Manager is responsible for providing visible clinical and operational leadership across Gynaecology Outpatients, the Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU) and Gynaecology Assessment Unit (GAU). The post holder will ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, effective and patient-centred care whilst maintaining clinical standards, service efficiency and compliance with organisational objectives.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead and manage the nursing and support workforce, promote professional excellence through practice development, and drive continuous quality improvement through robust clinical governance processes.
They will act as a clinical expert and role model, supporting staff development, service innovation and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
The post holder will be expected to work autonomously and exercise professional judgement whilst maintaining accountability for operational performance, workforce management, quality, governance and patient safety across Gynaecology Outpatients, EPU and GAU.
