Working pattern:
Tuesday 13:00- 18:30
Wednesday 13:30- 18:30
There is also the opportunity for an increase in an
additional 4 hours on a Thursday (14:30- 18:30), once the successful candidate
has completed their induction and become established within the role.
Mill Road Surgery is looking for a friendly, organised and
reliable Receptionist/Administrator to join our busy and supportive practice
team.
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play an
important role in providing excellent customer service, helping patients access
the care they need, and supporting the day-to-day administration of the
practice.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties
Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
Booking, amending and cancelling appointments using the clinical system.
Processing repeat prescription requests in line with practice procedures.
Registering new patients and updating patient records.
Managing incoming post, scanning documents and filing information accurately.
Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team with administrative tasks.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to practice policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone who:
Has excellent communication and customer service
skills.
Is professional, friendly and approachable.
Has good IT and administrative skills.
Can work accurately and efficiently in a busy
environment.
Can maintain strict confidentiality.
Enjoys working as part of a team.
Previous experience in a GP practice or healthcare setting
would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided for
the right candidate.
