Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to join our team in Catterick, DL9 3LS . This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, delivering outstanding customer service, and being part of a supportive team.
Job Description
As a General Service Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy catering facility, ensuring excellent service standards are maintained for customers while helping to keep the workplace clean, safe, and well-stocked.
Key responsibilities include:
Serving food and beverages to customers
Cleaning back-of-house areas, crockery, and cutlery
Cleaning and tidying counters, preparation areas, public areas, and light equipment/machines
Assisting with basic cold food preparation and made-to-order services
Restocking goods and ensuring merchandise displays are maintained appropriately
Reporting feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock requirements, breakages, faults, or hazards to your line manager
Completing daily paperwork and maintaining accurate records
Following all food hygiene, food safety, and health and safety procedures
Supporting the wider team as required to ensure excellent service delivery

Previous experience in food service or hospitality is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
Must be 18 years of age or over
Basic numeracy skills
Ability to work a variety of shifts
Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is desirable, although relevant training will be provided
Strong communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
Must have eligibility to work in the UK
Must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
