Hours: 20 hours per week, 5 days out of 7

Contract: Part Time

Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a friendly and enthusiastic General Service Assistant to join our team at RAF Leeming. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a customer-focused environment, delivering excellent service, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a busy catering operation.

What you'll be doing

Serving food and beverages to customers in a professional and friendly manner

Assisting with food preparation and basic kitchen duties

Operating tills and handling customer transactions accurately

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout catering and dining areas

Restocking service counters and ensuring displays remain well presented

Supporting hospitality and catering services across the site when required

Washing up and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils

Following food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times

Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive dining experience

A positive and customer-focused attitude

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Reliable and flexible approach to work

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Previous catering, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential

Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training

Commitment to maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and safety
