We are currently recruiting for a confident and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our team at Weeton Barracks . This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong front of house experience who enjoys leading by example, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting the smooth running of a busy hospitality environment.

What you'll be doing

Supervising the day-to-day Front of House operation within the Junior Ranks Hub

Ensuring customers receive a professional, friendly, and welcoming service

Leading and supporting the Front of House team during daily service

Coordinating service delivery to ensure an efficient and consistent operation

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer service

Managing staffing levels, break schedules, and team deployment

Ensuring food safety, allergen, and health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Working closely with the culinary team to deliver a seamless customer experience

Monitoring service standards and identifying opportunities for improvement

Supporting training and development of team members where required

What we're looking for

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent customer service experience

Good communication and organisational skills

Ability to supervise a busy service environment effectively

High standards of cleanliness and presentation

Good understanding of food safety and allergen management

Confidence in leading, motivating, and supporting team members

Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads

Ability to remain calm, organised, and professional during busy periods

Previous hospitality, catering, retail, or food service experience is desirable

Additional Requirements

Successful candidates will be required to complete standard military vetting
