We’re Hiring: Fire First Response Officer

📍 Location: Worcester, UK

💰 Pay: £16 per hour

📅 Hours: 4 on, 4 off, days, nights & weekends

We are looking for a Fire First Response Officer, this role acts as first responder to fire alarm activiations while supporting the safe maangement of fire evacuations and promoting fire safety across all customer-manged buildings and areas.

We’re looking for a confident and proactive professional to lead emergency response and help keep buildings, tenants, and visitors safe 24/7.

Working shifts, be the first responder to any fire activations within the customer buildings.

Liaise with attending Fire Service during fire activations.

Conduct initial firefighting activities using appropriate firefighting equipment where safe to do so.

Provide support during fire alarm activations and assist with evacuations of any of the customer managed buildings.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of the fire strategies for the customer managed buildings and areas.

Be aware of all the fire safety features provided and their purpose and implications of altering the agreed cause and effect.

Be aware of any specific fire risks on the premises.

Maintain documentation relating to fire emergencies, ensuring documentation is up to date.

Maintain a professional presence on site and engage with any fire safety matters or meetings.

Maintain competencies by attending First Response training course and annual refresher training.

Inspect and maintain response equipment.

Monitor general maintenance and building works that might affect fire safety provisions.

Undertake fire safety patrols and regular inspections of all areas and identify fire safety hazards.

Facilitate site familiarisation visits from the local fire ss and take part in training exercises.

Assist Building Management teams in the statutory testing fire safety provisions.

To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Shift supervisor.

Essential:

Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights and weekends

Must have right to work in the UK Have a fiveyear checkable employment history

No current criminal convictions

Be capable of undertaking emergency response duties

Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus

Desirable:

Prior experience in a response-type role or fighting/fire safety

A first aid qualification
