Role description

London | Hybrid working | Office attendance once per fortnight

Ready to turn great conversations into great results?

If you’re confident on the phone, enjoy building rapport with customers and get a buzz from hitting targets, this could be the opportunity for you.

We’re looking for a Direct Sales Executive to join our Specialist Lending team at Premium Credit. You’ll be speaking directly with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and identifying opportunities to introduce products and services that genuinely work for them.

This is a sales role where being commercially driven and customer-focused go hand in hand. You’ll have the freedom to take ownership of your conversations, build relationships and contribute directly to the continued growth of the business.

And with our hybrid approach, you’ll have plenty of flexibility too. This role is predominantly home-based, with attendance at our London office just once per fortnight.

Why Premium Credit?

Premium Credit is the UK and Ireland’s leading provider of insurance premium finance and funding for a range of annually charged services. We help more than three million customers spread the cost of essential payments — including insurance premiums, tax and regulatory fees, professional fees, school fees, memberships and season tickets — into manageable instalments. Working through a network of around 3,000 partners, we make important purchases more affordable and give individuals and businesses greater control over their cash flow.

We’re proud to be a multi-award-winning business, certified as a Great Place to Work® and recognised among the UK’s Best Workplaces™. We also hold a Silver Sustainability medal, a 4.2 rating on Glassdoor and a 4.5 rating on Trustpilot — recognition that reflects our commitment to creating a responsible, supportive workplace and delivering a great experience for our customers and colleagues.

We want people to enjoy coming to work, feel trusted to do their best and have opportunities to develop.

Alongside a competitive salary and incentive plan, our benefits include:

Hybrid working, with just one day per fortnight in our London office

25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to five days per year, pro rata

Private health and dental cover

Workplace pension

24/7 Employee Assistance Programme

Access to Mental Health First Aiders

Support and investment in your ongoing personal and professional development

What you’ll be doing

No two customer conversations will be exactly the same, but your focus will be simple: providing a professional, engaging sales experience while identifying opportunities to grow our business.

You’ll:

Make proactive outbound calls to targeted new and existing customers

Identify sales and renewal opportunities and confidently progress them

Listen to customers, understand their needs and provide clear and accurate information about relevant products and services

Turn positive customer conversations into commercial opportunities

Take ownership of customer actions and follow them through quickly and professionally

Work towards agreed sales plans, objectives and targets

Maintain accurate customer records and follow-up activity

Build strong relationships with colleagues across Premium Credit

Represent our brand and values in every customer interaction

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to know everything about Premium Credit or our products on day one. What matters is that you can demonstrate a strong sales mindset, confidence communicating with customers and the motivation to learn.

You’ll ideally bring:

Experience working in an outbound telephone sales environment

A track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets

Confidence making high volumes of outbound calls and engaging customers quickly

Strong communication and influencing skills

A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach

The ability to spot opportunities and confidently progress them towards a sale

Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities

A genuine commitment to delivering a great customer experience

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Previous experience building and maintaining customer or client relationships would be an advantage.
