Role description

About BigHand

BigHand offers technology solutions for busy legal professionals that provide data and insights to increase value and profits. Through our expert knowledge and innovative technology, we enable our customers to achieve enhanced efficiency, better decision-making and harness their competitive edge.

We build with tomorrow in mind, transforming ideas into action and empowering our customers to succeed in a world of constant change. We make big happen for our customers.

We are a business driven by our values and have these at the centre of everything we do. Our BigHanders are dedicated to building a culture where We Win Together, We Love to Learn, We Do the Right Thing, We Own It and We Find the Fun.

About the role

This role exists to turn BigHand's revenue data into reporting and insight the business runs on. You'll join a small Revenue Operations data team that owns our Azure data warehouse, Power BI reporting and AI tooling, and you'll work with stakeholders across the company.

This is a hands-on role for someone with experience in Power BI, SQL and Azure data tools, including Microsoft Fabric as our platform evolves to hit the ground running from day 1. You'll get mentoring from experienced data practitioners, work on numbers that leadership and the board use to make decisions, and grow into a well rounded data professional in a B2B SaaS business.

What you’ll do

Build, maintain and improve Power BI reports and dashboards covering pipeline, bookings, ARR, renewals and customer health.

Write and optimise SQL queries against our Azure data warehouse to answer ad hoc questions.

Support Azure Data Factory pipelines: monitor scheduled runs, troubleshoot failures and help add new data sources and tables.

Help keep data accurate and consistent across Salesforce, NetSuite, marketing automation and other source systems, flagging and fixing quality issues.

Support with recurring reporting packs, including monthly and quarterly metrics.

Document data models, metric definitions and processes so reporting is trusted and reusable.

Work with the wider BigHand team on AI-assisted analytics and automation projects as they come up.

What we’re looking for

At least 2 years experience in a data, BI or analyst position.

Hands-on Power BI experience: building reports, basic data modelling and writing DAX measures.

Working SQL for analysis: joins, aggregations, filtering and common table expressions.

Some exposure to Microsoft Azure, ideally a data warehouse or SQL database environment.

Some experience with Azure Data Factory or similar, such as building or maintaining pipelines.

A careful eye for detail and a habit of sense-checking numbers before they're shared.

Clear communication, including explaining data to non-technical colleagues.

Curiosity and a willingness to learn quickly in a fast-moving team.

What we offer

25 days holiday (exc. bank holidays) + 3 BigHand days off between Christmas & New Year

Various wellbeing benefits including private medical, vision, online wellbeing programs & webinars, access to online therapy and Employee Resource Groups (ERG)

Company-wide Wellness day, for our teams all across the globe to switch off and spend the day doing something to nourish their mental health

Opportunities to give back with company volunteer events and individual volunteer days

Career growth opportunities and study leave allowance

Family benefits including enhanced parental leave, secondary caregiver leave and fertility support

Financial benefits including pension scheme, life assurance, and salary sacrificing

Cycle to Work Scheme and Tech Scheme

Growing business with a global presence, flexible working, modern offices, and remote work options
