Cover Supervisor (Part Time)

This is a permanent position offered on a 0.6 FTE part time basis from January 2027.

The Cover Supervisor is responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff and ensuring that pupils continue to engage productively in their learning.

The post holder will maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment, support pupils' wellbeing and behaviour, and contribute to the wider life of the school. This is a part time, permanent position work ing 8am to 4pm three days a week during term time.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Supervise whole classes during the absence of the regular teacher.

Effectively deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and learning activities.

M anage classroom behaviour in accordance with the School's Behaviour Policy and expectations and to ensure pupils remain engaged and focused on learning tasks, ensuring a safe, calm and productive learning environment at all times.

Participate in staff meetings, training and professional development activities as required.

Support educational visits, enrichment activities and school events where appropriate.

Contribute positively to the ethos, values and reputation of RGS Prep School.

£16,173 per annum (actual salary)
