Aramark UK are currently recruiting for a Cook in Charge to join our team at a primary school in Cockshutt, Ellesmere, SY12 0JE. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced catering professional to lead a small team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals for school children in a rewarding education setting.

As Cook in Charge, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring pupils receive healthy, well-prepared meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting a small catering team

• Preparing and cooking meals for primary school pupils

• Organising daily kitchen operations to ensure a smooth service

• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene

• Managing stock levels, stock rotation, and food orders as required

• Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company

procedures

• Completing relevant kitchen records and documentation

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment

• Providing excellent service to pupils, staff, and visitors

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working in a catering or kitchen environment

• Experience supervising or leading a small team is desirable

• Passion for preparing nutritious, high-quality food

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Good communication and teamwork abilities

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

• A positive and reliable approach to work

Additional Requirements:

• DBS check required

• Must have the legal right to work in the UK
