Our Hospital at Home service, part of the Unplanned Care Directorate, is expanding in line with the national vision to move appropriate care from acute settings into the community. We provide personalised, proactive care closer to home, enabling patients to receive appropriate acute-level care in their own homes.
Hospital at Home is a 24/7 service providing safe, responsive and high-quality care.
We are looking for motivated, compassionate individuals to join our Herefordshire Hospital at Home Team as Band 3 Healthcare Support Workers.
Staff will work shift patterns, including day and night shifts, weekends and bank holidays, in line with service needs.
Main duties of the job
- Assist qualified Nursing staff in a range of patient care duties.
- To undertake a range of delegated nursing tasks, including cannulation and taking blood or urine samples, carrying out basic wound assessments and applying simple dressings, taking routine observations and supporting clients with medication.
- To record patient information.
- To provide planned patient care.
