Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) seeking a new opportunity? We haveCommunity Staff Nursepositions available within the team, based at Harrison House.

Our service covers the urban and rural areas of Taunton, Wellington and Wiveliscombe. The usual working patterns are day shifts covering 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm. You'll also work one twilight shift per week (2pm-10pm) and weekend cover on a rota which include additional unsocial hours enhanced payments. There are a separate night team. We offer flexible working solutions where possible to ensure a work-life balance.

You'll need to be a car driver with your own vehicle to visit patients.We offer a generous mileage allowance to cover the use of your car for NHS business, which includes both mileage and depreciation.

As a community RN, you'll provide care to patients in their homes, managing a range of complex health issues and collaborating with various other disciplines.

You'll also work closely with the Hospital @ Home team and Rapid Response, focused on preventing acute admission. You'll develop a broad range of nursing skills, including IV medication administration, palliative and end-of-life care, complex wound management, catheter and continence care, diabetes management, PICC line care, medication administration, and drain tube management.

You'll need to make autonomous clinical decisions and create holistic care plans, with the support of your colleagues and Team Leaders. Comprehensive training and guidance will be provided by our two dedicated Clinical Lead nurses.

Qualifications

Essential

• Appropriately registered with the Professional body as per post requirements,
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
• Evidence of continuing professional development and to have undertaken post registration training

Desirable

• Leadership/management programme or prepared to undertake a course
• Non- Medical Prescriber
• Coaching and/or mentorship training

Experience

Essential

• Substantial experience in the required setting
• Demonstrate clinical and managerial leadership ability
• Experience of working in multi-agency services.
• Ability to undertake the higher level clinical skills required for the specialist area
• Experience of mentoring

Desirable
