Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our dedicated Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team on the beautiful Isle of Wight.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis, supporting their recovery through evidence-based psychological interventions within a compassionate and multidisciplinary team environment.
Main duties of the job
As a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, you will provide high-quality specialist assessment, formulation and evidence-based psychological therapies, both individually and in groups, to service users under the care of the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team.
Working within professional guidelines and Trust policies, you will support individuals diagnosed with first episode psychosis and work collaboratively with families, carers and other professionals involved in their care. A strong commitment to recovery-focused practice, co-production and person-centred care is essential.
You will also:
Deliver specialist CBT interventions to individuals experiencing psychosis.
Undertake comprehensive psychological assessments and formulations.
Facilitate individual and group therapy programmes.
Provide consultation, advice and supervision to colleagues within the multidisciplinary team.
Work collaboratively with families, carers and professionals involved in service users' care.
Contribute to service development, audit, research and quality improvement initiatives.
Promote psychologically informed approaches across the team and wider service.
Work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters where required.
