Job summary
Reports to: Medical Director
Responsible to: Head of Clinical Services
Proposed salary: £14,560 per session per annum
Hours of work: Two sessions per week
Tenure: Fixed Term to 31st March 2028
Base: Hybrid home working with regular attendance at ABC offices in
Crawley and Horley as well as other locations as may be required
On Call Element: No
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide clinical leadership to
ABCs team of Non-Medical Prescribers including Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced
Paramedic Practitioners and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
As Alliance for Better Care continues to recruit and embed
non-medical prescribers to support its clinical team, the role will have a
strong focus on the integration of these teams to facilitate enhanced
team-working and improved service efficiencies and capacity. The role will
provide leadership to ABCs non-medical prescribers, including regular clinical
supervision and one-to-ones, review of clinical consultations, quality
improvement, prescribing, incidents and holistic support and mentorship.
The ideal post holder will have experience in service development, strategic planning and quality improvement.

Strategic Planning and Service
Development
To provide expert
leadership, governance and oversight for all Non-Medical Prescribers and non-medical prescribing
activity
To
ensure that non-medical prescribing practice is safe, legally compliant,
evidence based and aligned with national and local frameworks
Develop
and maintain robust clinical governance arrangements for non-medical
prescribing including audits, incident reviews and safety monitoring
Quality Improvement
and Data Oversight
Ensure
service and prescribing audits are completed, reported and actions followed up
as necessary
Identify
improvements and developments in non-medical prescribing activity, working
closely with the appropriate Service Manager(s) to ensure implementation
Leadership, Workforce Development and Line Management
Develop
and implement competency frameworks, supervision models and CPD plans for Non-Medical
Prescribers
Leading
and managing ABCs team of Non-Medical Prescribers including supervision,

There

Supervision
Regular
supervisions on a one-to-one basis including an annual formal appraisal will be
held with a line manager. If you are in a patient-facing role, you will also
receive regular Clinical Supervisions with a Clinical Supervisor.
