Job summary
Clinical Fellow in the department of MSK Radiology This post will be supporting the MSK Radiology team -Dr Emma Rowbotham, Dr Bill Pass and other consultant colleagues in the MSK radiology speciality team. The post-holder will provide a high quality MSK Radiology imaging/interventional service. . There will be opportunities to contribute to MDT and teaching residents in training. The post will be based at the Chapel Allerton Hospital. Applicants should have established skills in MSK Radiology. Excellent communication and team working skills, a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential. Consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work full or part time and those wishing to job share. Main duties of the job
Musculoskeletal radiology services are based at Leeds General Infirmary (acute orthopaedics, trauma, spinal and plastic surgery) and at Chapel Allerton Hospital (elective orthopaedic surgery and rheumatology). The team provides imaging services across the field of diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal radiology, including the MSK ultrasound, MRI, arthrography and a wide range of interventional procedures. Close contact is kept with orthopaedic, rheumatology and A & E clinical colleagues principally through a variety of MDT meetings held at both the Infirmary and Chapel Allerton sites. The Directorate uses an Agfa EI (PACS) and CRIS together with voice recognition software from Soliton. The Radiology Directorate across the Trust has 90 + Consultant Radiologists and approximately 50 specialist registrars. Within Musculoskeletal Radiology there are 11 Consultant Radiologists, Drs J Rankine, P Robinson, H Gupta, D Barron, E Rowbotham, R Fawcett, B Pass, J Baren, M Ooi , F Whittam & S. Paruthikunnan. .

A comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional procedures are provided to the population of Leeds. In addition, significant numbers of referrals from the areas of the region and beyond are received for specialist procedures.
While each member of the Consultant Radiologist team shares the day-to-day work in the department, within research fields particular areas of interest have been developed by individual group members. These include spinal imaging, trauma radiology, diagnostic and therapeutic radiology of sports injuries, imaging of soft tissue sarcomas and imaging of arthritis. The department has a strong research focus and an extensive publication portfolio. Members of the group are active in the International Skeletal Society, European Society of Skeletal Radiology and British Society of Skeletal Radiology.

Participate in the Radiology SpR teaching programme.
Participate in departmental clinical research and audit.
Work an alternate week evening general acute CT list is incorporated into the fellowship timetable
Will assist in the training of junior medical staff (radiological and other clinicians).
